I get it, you LOOOOVVVVVE running. If you could marry it, you would. You love the feeling of cruising along a well known route and feeling light and free. You love how your breath sounds and your heart thumps in your chest. You relish looking at your milage grow online, and the feeling of accomplishment at the end of the week for nailing those miles.

Honestly, I get it. And that’s why I’m writing this. Because I know way too many runners that love running so much they choose running over self care every time.

Your upper girdle, and how to use it.

Breath, without air we don’t live, much less thrive. But without being able to find position, it gets really hard to breathe. I was listening to a podcast with the founders of XPT where Gabriel Reese brought up our fight or flight response to being hunched over (Time stamp 1:38:06 in this podcast). I realized that getting people to stop walking around in an anxiety causing position was paramount. Not only will it get people breathing (important stuff) but it allows them to find proper position. And we all know position is power.

Rules of the road, part 1.

Rules apply.

I teach people how to move. Which I hope translates into how they live. My theory is that if people are moving better they will feel better. If they feel better they will be happier. If they’re happier they’ll make better decisions. Better decision making individuals make for better citizens. Better citizens make for a better world. And that is really my goal, to live in a better world.
